You equipments are available for use by researchers and PG students from any teaching and research institutions, as well as for providing services to companies, in the form of a Multiuser Center.
In the particular case of the Zeiss XRadia 510 Versa microtomograph, given the sophistication of the operation, high maintenance cost, and long times in the acquisition of 3D images, the use and its prioritization is defined by a Management Committee formed by researchers from 3 institutions, listed below:
- General Coordination: Prof. Sidnei Paciornik – PUC-Rio
- Vice-Coordinator: Dr. Marcos Henrique de Pinho Mauricio – PUC-Rio
- Member of the Management Committee: Prof. Gustavo de Deus – UFF
- Member of the Management Committee: Dr. Otavio da Fonseca Martins Gomes – CETEM/MCTI
Those interested in using the equipment should contact Dr. Marcos Henrique de Pinho Mauricio, presenting its technical requirements. Orders will be prioritized based on queue, complexity and analysis time.
For researchers from the State of Rio de Janeiro, the following rules will apply, considering the financing of the maintenance contract per FAPERJ maintenance project (under evaluation):
- The executing unit (teachers responsible, technicians and students) should provide collaborative assistance to researchers for the use of Multiuser Equipment in their research projects.
- The installation of Multi-User Equipment must be disclosed to the collaborating units, clarifying the applications for which the equipment is intended, as well as training courses for eventual users.
- Under no circumstances will you be charged for the use of Multi-User Equipment for the executing units, collaborators and eventual future users.
- Collaborating teams will have to provide their own consumables for the use of the Multi-User Equipment, as well as prepare their research material when necessary.
- The installation of Multi-User Equipment in a given unit does not mean that it may have priority use.
- The researcher who wishes to make use of the Multiuser Equipment will have free access to the device as long as its use schedule to be made available by the executing unit is observed.
